 Character Synopsis

The TV special shows Earth's hero Mr. Satan taking on and defeating Cell. Satan comments to the questioner how many miracles happened back then, over ten years ago, including the resurrection of all the people killed by Cell. Watching the broadcast from their home, Kuririn comments to his family how they were the ones who asked Shenlong to bring them back. The questioner asks for a comment on the mysterious young man seen standing where Cell disappeared, but Satan repeats that Cell is gone forever. After hearing that Satan has saved Earth again seven years later, Number 18 turns off the TV.
Goku arrives at their house with the intention of asking Kuririn and Number 18 to participate in the upcoming tournament. Goku dances around the specific implications of the tournament and finally settles on the lie that each participant will win 10 million Zeni...which finally convinces #18 to get involved. Goku asks where Number 17 is because he'd like to invite him as well, but Number 18 only knows that he works at some nature reserve. Kuririn suggests that he ask Dende, since as the God of Earth he would be able to see everything.
