Character Synopsis
Once upon a time, Beerus and Champa are fighting each other. As Beerus dodges and deflects the blasts, the planets are caught in the destruction. The two land on a destroyed planet and Champa vents her frustration at Beerus eating the “Puff-Puff Fruit” on their birthday cake. Vados comments that she thought she was doing something nice by making the cake, and just laughs when Whis comments that she should have known it would end up like this. Beerus and Champa continue to argue about the quality of food in their universe. Increasingly frustrated, Champa decides he’s had enough. Champa no longer cares what happens to this universe and starts powering the blast; Beerus responds in kind. Whis and Vados slash their cat below the neck, ending the fight, along with suggesting that the duo fight it out with a food showdown.
In the present, Whis continues to explain to Vegeta about the ongoing food showdown, and Champ’s pride seems to have been hurt this time. Champa and Beerus negotiate the terms of their new battle: five warriors of their choosing, with Champa’s ultimate goal of switching Earths between universes using the “wishing orbs” he’s acquired… though he only has six so far, and he’ll transform them. if his team loses. Goku recognizes them as dragon balls; Champa and Vados seem surprised that Goku knew about them. Beerus laughs and says they have them in their own universe too. Champa asks if they’re Namekians (they are) and explains that Namekians were shaved long ago from the original “Wish Orbs”, which are on a completely different scale: a single one is the size of a planet! Due to their size and ability to grant any wish, they might as well be called “Super Dragon Balls”…! Goku is eager to start a battle, so the group gets to work.
